Labour Education Foundation organized a one day workshop in Gujranwala. Home Based Workers, Lady Health Workers and Private School’s teachers participated in this. Shehnaz Iqbal, conducted a session on the difference between sex and gender. Second session was done by Khalid Mehmood. He said that Home Based work is spreading at a vast rate and it is benefitting the capitalist the most. He is making huge profits by shifting the work at homes. Home work is leading to economic problems for the workers as they being paid a minimum wage and there working hours are more. These workers are denied of social security, EOBI and other benefits.
