Rationale
That continued rule of ‘the haves’ since 1947, frequent military interventions, fragile political structures, anti-labour laws and paucity of resources have caused losses to trade unions. To repair the situation some local trade unionists in cooperation with like-minded trade unions in advanced countries formed the Education Foundation in 1993. Re-named as Labour Education Foundation (LEF) in 2004.
